The first time that you go to the diaper aisle at a store, it can be quite overwhelming. Where do you start? Pampers or Huggies? Luvs or Seventh Generation? Costco or BJ’s? There are so many choices. I wish that there was a stand out diaper brand that works for all children. The problem is that all children are shaped differently; therefore, different diapers work better for different children. My sons are both tall and thin and Pampers work great for them.
My suggestion is to try them all. Pampers have a slight baby powder smell to them, so we like that the kids don’t smell as bad as soon as they go to the bathroom. As for diaper size, don’t follow the weight chart! My son wears size 6 diapers (for 35 lbs and up) although he only weighs 27 lbs. We know when it is time to move our son to the next size diaper when he starts to leak through the front by his belly button. I have heard that with girls, they leak by the legs. My suggestion is to find what works best for you and stick with it! |
