The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) tests child car seats for ease of use (including assembly, evaluation of labels, evaluation of instructions, installing featues, and securing the child) and assigns an overall rating. This is very helpful when deciding on car seats. I would not rely solely on reviews when deciding on a car seat. All children are shaped differently, so it's best to pick a car seat that fits your child best.

When I had my second child, I knew that I did not want a traditional double stroller. They seemed so bulky to me and I needed something to fit into my Honda Accord trunk. My two year old was not really interested in sitting in a stroller anymore, so I loved the concept of the Sit and Stand Strollers. The two choices that are available are the Joovy Caboose and the Baby Trend Sit N' Stand.

Bisphenol-A is a synthetic sex hormone that mimics estrogen that is used to make hard polycarbonate plastic used in bottles and sippy cups. The bottles or cups with BPA usually are marked on the bottom with a 7 or “PC.” BPA can leach into the liquid in the bottle or cup and can affect your child. When I heard about BPA, I automatically ran to Babies R Us and bought all new bottles.

The first time that you go to the diaper aisle at a store, it can be quite overwhelming. Where do you start? Pampers or Huggies? Luvs or Seventh Generation? Costco or BJ’s? There are so many choices. I wish that there was a stand out diaper brand that works for all children. The problem is that all children are shaped differently; therefore, different diapers work better for different children. My sons are both tall and thin and Pampers work great for them.
